Bonelab Sideload Online

: Go to mod.io/connect on your phone or PC and enter the code.

Here is what you gain by choosing to sideload mods:

A dedicated web archive specifically for Bonelab. They have a robust Quest filtering system.

The holy grail. Allows you to play Bonelab co-op with friends. Requires precise matching of mod versions on both PCs/Quests. Sideload only.

The built-in mod browser only supports "Base" mods (JSON edits) and "Avatar" mods (models). It does natively support Code Mods (files ending in .dll for PCVR or native ARM code for Quest). These mods can completely change the game logic—adding new NPC behaviors, creating entire game modes (like zombies or deathmatch), or spawning complex vehicles. You can only install these via sideloading.

To successfully sideload mods into Bonelab, you need a "bridge" between your computer and the headset. This bridge varies depending on whether you are on PCVR (Steam/Rift) or Standalone (Quest). : Go to mod

When you extract a .zip file, it sometimes creates a folder inside a folder. Open your mod folder; you should see files like palette.json immediately. If you see another folder with the same name instead, move that inner folder to your main Mods directory.

Put on the headset and select and Allow File Access .

Your new weapons, maps, or avatars will now be available in your Lab Hub or spawn menu. Requires precise matching of mod versions on both PCs/Quests
