What holds your central repository (SQL Server, Oracle, HANA)?

Downloading and installing the Designer is only half the battle. To begin building ETL jobs, you must configure a connection to a localized or centralized SAP Data Services Repository. Step 1: Configure the Data Services Repository Manager

Navigate to the extracted folder, locate the setup.exe file, right-click it, and select Run as administrator .

On the features selection screen, ensure that SAP Data Services Designer is checked. You may also want to select the Repository Manager (crucial for configuring local repositories) and the Workbench .

: Ensure you have installed the 64-bit database clients and drivers (e.g., Oracle Client, Microsoft SQL Server Native Client, SAP HANA Client) on your machine. The Designer needs these to browse metadata and establish source/target connections.
